The Atlanta Institute for Advanced Education hosts the Medical College of Georgia AAID Maxi-Course Comprehensive Training Program in Implant Dentistry. The maxi-Course is one of the most respected comprehensive training programs in implant dentistry. Presenters include approximately 35 renowned university faculty as well as world-class clinicians. Instructors for the course are among the country's top authorities in implant dentistry. The course will provide over 300 hours of lecture, laboratory sessions, live surgical demonstration and home/office assignments. It will be rpesented in ten parts, once a month, over a ten-month period. The written portion of the AAID Associate Fellow Memership Examination will be given during the November session for those who are interested. The September session is dedicated to the entire dental office staff to develop a team approach to implant dentistry. Advances in all areas of implant dentistry are occurring rapidly. Many of today's implant courses cover the "how-to" quite well, but neglect the "why". All practitioners, especially those staring out in implant dentistry, should become knowledgeable in all areas of implantology. This course is a must for all general dentistss, periodontists, prosthodontists and oral surgeons who want to be proficient in implant dentistry and become an Associate Fellow Member of the AAID. This course will take the implant dentist "back to school". It will include basic science information in anatomy, microbiology and histology, all specifically geared to implant dentistry.
